Zubair EDC Announces Winners of Brandz+ Interface Design Competition

The Zubair Enterprise Development Centre recently announced the winners of the Interface Design Competition for Brandz+, which is one of the platforms supported by the Centre, during a ceremony at The Zubair Corporation in Azaiba.

The ceremony was attended by Said Bin Salim Al Sahib, The Head of Zubair Enterprise Development Centre, Dr. Muslim Bin Ali Al Mani, Dean of Al-Zahra College, Salah Bin Said Mahthori, the founder of Brandz+, and several officials of Zubair EDC, the Zubair EDC´s team, as well as academics, administrators and students from the Al Zahra College for Women.

The results of the competition were as follows: securing first place was Maha bint Mohammed Al-Hadhrami, Al-Shifa bint Khalfan Al-Rashidiya came second, and Amal bint Salem Al-Hadidyah secured third place.

Commenting about the competition, Said Bin Salim Al Sahib, The Head of AL Zubair EDC, said, “This competition falls within the framework of the Zubair EDC’s strategy to support entrepreneur members of the Centre. Our collaboration with the Al Zahra College for Women is also part of a community-wide partnership with academic institutions in the private sector to serve the community, in order to empower and help college students to demonstrate their skills in drawing and design. Al Zubair EDC seeks to provide many services to its members, whether through consultations, training workshops and monthly experience sessions or through cooperation with the Centre’s strategic partners to transform entrepreneurial projects into active projects.”

Speaking about the competition, Dr. Salah bin Said Al-Mahthori, Founder of Brandz+, said, “The students of the Zahra College for Women participated in a highly competitive contest during which they demonstrated high levels of skills and competencies, and 10 of the designs presented during the competition qualified for the final sorting, with approximately 25 designs presented in this competition. By presenting their designs, the participants demonstrated a wide range of creativity and ideas. The jury encountered a difficult selection process as choosing the winners involved several screening stages. We congratulate the winners of this competition and wish them further success in their future endeavours. Also, I would like to express my appreciation to the Zubair Centre for Enterprise Development for their continued support of entrepreneurs, as well as the jury and the management of the Zahra College for Women, for their cooperation in organising and conducting this competition.”

Dr. Muslim Bin Ali Al- Mani, Dean of Al Zahra College added, “I would like to thank Al Zubair EDC and Brandz+ for providing our students with the opportunity to showcase their design abilities, as the competition achieved a number of desired outcomes, including allowing students to acquire the necessary skills in the design process, and providing them with the opportunity to participate in external competitions. In the future, we hope that the private sector will provide students from public and private colleges with the opportunity to showcase their talent and skills in a variety of fields.”
