Zubair SEC facilitates trade agreement between its members

Muscat: In line with its strategy to facilitate business development opportunities for its members, Zubair Small Enterprises Centre (Zubair SEC) has helped its members’ companies Abraj Al Zahira Investment and Grandma’s Mixes to sign a sales collaboration agreement.

Branded as AZ Medcare, Abraj Al Zahira Investment company specialises in the business of wholesale medical care equipment and other related products. An exclusive distributor of pharmaceutical, medical and health-care products, AZ Medcare represents international manufacturers in Oman. AZ Medcare runs pharmacies in Ghala and Bausher. The company Grandma’s Mixes’ specialises in herbal and henna hair products.

As per the agreement AZ Medcare will market and distribute Grandma’s Mixes’ products through its pharmacies and other platforms in various governorates in Oman. The contract was facilitated by advisors at Zubair SEC in line with their strategy to enable business development opportunities for its members and build business synergies between their members.

Zaima Saif Nasser Al Salami, founder of Grandma’s Mixes is a winner of the Zubair SEC’s Direct Support Programme for the year 2017. Mansoor Nasser Al Rahbi, founder of AZ Medcare is winner of Zubair SEC’s Direct Support Programme for the year 2017.

Last year, Zaima Saif Nasser Al Salami launched a new production unit for Grandma’s Mixes in Barka along with a new range of henna-based hair colour and hair care products. The new production unit was designed and implemented to its very details by Zubair SEC advisors, tapping on the expertise of some executives and industry specialists from Oasis Water, one of The Zubair Corporation’s companies; they extended support in establishing the production line, selecting equipment and blending machine, and facilitating shipment and delivery. Moreover, as Zubair SEC encourages collaboration and cross-selling amongst its members, another member of the centre and winner of its Direct Support Programme, Jokha Al Husaini, founder of Al Shumookh Engineering, was contracted for the building construction of the new production unit in Barka.

Branded as AZ Medcare, the company is established and managed by Mansoor Nasser Al Rahbi, winner of Zubair SEC’s Direct Support Programme for the year 2017. AZ Medcare specialises in the business of wholesale medical care equipment and other related products. The company has established a very efficient Pharmaceutical distribution system, covering 235 Pharmacies. They focus on marketing niche products to the medical trade – nebulizers for respiratory support; cholesterol and blood pressure gauges; injury treatment supplies; and equipment for disabled people, to name a few. The company deals with pharmacies and hospitals in Muscat and nearby areas. Al Rahbi started his company in 2013 which has been growing in manpower and capacity ever since. AZ Med Care plans to tap into retail business and expand across the Sultanate.
