Under the umbrella of Zubair Small Enterprises Centre (Zubair SEC), Members of Zubair SEC actively participated at the Business Opportunities Forum that was held by Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 16-17 November 2014 at Oman International Exhibition Centre. Zubair SEC took part at the event as a sponsor and exhibitor with a pavilion that hosted some of its most engaged members and members of its Direct Support Programme in its 2013-2014 round.
The forum presented an opportunity for participants to showcase their products and services to large companies and public organisations that were present to consider contracting small and medium enterprises for their procurement budget for year 2015.
“This forum provides a much needed platform for Zubair SEC members who have business-to-business offerings and seek opportunities and access to the decision makers in large companies in the Sultanate”, said Mohammed Hasani, Chief Communications Officer at the Zubair Corporation. He added, “As part of the Centre’s communications strategy, we work on identifying events and activities that offer business development networking opportunities, and we extend our support to host members of the centre and equip them with all needed tools to be best promoted”.
Participating members of Zubair SEC included Meshan for luxury date sweets; Memories Studios for photo-video shooting and production services; Shumookh Engineering Consulting; and Uniboats for water sport activities and equipment.
“Our presence in this forum for two days was an opportunity to present our products to the largest companies in the Sultanate”, said Wafa Al Jabri, Co-Founder of Meshan. She added, “The support of Zubair SEC is not limited to allowing us this opportunity to participate, but it extends to the continuous and valuable advisory and mentorship that has the biggest impact on taking our Meshan project for a quantum leap in a significantly short period of time”.
