Zubair Small Enterprises Centre (Zubair SEC) member Rove Adventures launched the new adventure tourism season at an event held in Bait Al Zubair under the patronage of Her Excellency Maitha Saif Majid Al Mahrouqi, Undersecretary for the Ministry of Tourism. The event was attended by Hani Muhammad Al Zubair, Board Member of The Zubair Corporation and Chairman of the Zubair Automotive Group, along with a number of senior executives from the public and private sector, and supporters of SMEs in the Sultanate.
Rove Adventures was founded by Hassan Ali Al Lawati, the winner of Zubair SEC’s Direct Support Programme for the year 2018 and his two partners, Hamed Al Saadi and Moutassim Al Balushi.
The special ceremony saw the launch of the Rove Adventures’ state-of-the art brand new website through which adventure trips in Oman can be booked. During the event the Oman based adventure tourism company also signed an agreement with Designer Holidays, a leading destination management company from India. The MoU was signed between Hassan Ali Mohammed Al Lawati, founder of Rove Adventures and Sarvin Warden, Partner, Designer Holidays. The MoU agreement opens a pathway for the two entities to strategically cooperate to promote tourism offerings of the respective companies. This agreement was facilitated by Zubair SEC as part of the business development efforts extended to their member.
Established in 2016, Rove Adventures is a 100% Omani owned and operated adventure tourism company run by a group of youngsters with a fervent passion for the outdoors. The company was launched with an intention to promote Oman’s tourism potential and enable tourist to experience the incredible natural wealth of the country. The Rove Adventures team aspires to help visitors from all over the world discover and explore Oman like never before.

We are primarily an adventures tourism company rendering customised services. Our main objective is to deliver quality services which results into a tourism experience to cherish. We research extensively the destinations that we offer for adventure. Our team undertakes exploratory tours to different parts of Oman to select the destinations. We then set up an integrated journey path after taking all safety and prevention standards into consideration. Our goal is to ensure that that tourists have a safe, stress-free high-quality adventure experience.”

Sarvin Warden, Partner, Designer Holidays, said, “We are thrilled to sign agreement with Rove Adventures. I have gone around Oman and seen what an amazing and incredibly beautiful country it is. Designer Holidays concentrates on specialised and luxury leisure and tour programmes in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan. As part of agreement with Rove Adventures, we will be promoting Oman in these destinations and vice versa. Rove Adventures will take Omani tourists to these destinations and Designer Holidays will bring guests to Oman.”
As part of its commitment to adopt winners of Zubair SEC’s Direct Support Programme, Ara Petroleum, oil exploration and production company ARA Petroleum had adopted the seat of DSP winner Hassan Ali Mohammed Al Lawati. Ara Petroleum and Rove Adventures recently started collaborating within the framework of the agreement between the two companies.
