Omani jewellery brand “Kidani” unveiled its new collection ‘Mirwad’ at a launch ceremony organised by Zubair Small Enterprises Centre (Zubair SEC). The launch event was held under the patronage of Khalid Muhammad Al Zubair, Managing Director of The Zubair Corporation and attended by reputable community members and representatives from the public and private sectors along with art and jewellery aficionados and SMEs development experts.
The “Kidani” jewellery brand established under Dar Al Washa Trading is owned by Muna Humaid Al Khuseibi, member of Zubair SEC and winner of the Direct Support Programme in 2015. This is the second jewellery collection that Zubair SEC has launched for the “Kidani”, after the previous collection “Karam” that has also achieved a lot of success.
The new collection is inspired by the Arabic eye make-up tool “Mirwad” which has been in use for centuries in the Sultanate and the Arab world.
Congratulating Muna on the launch of her latest collection, Khalid Al Zubair, Managing Director of The Zubair Corporation, said, “We are delighted that a member of Zubair SEC’s has achieved so much business and brand popularity. The brand has quickly emerged as a favourite among clients, reflecting the designer’s creativity and passion. I also laud the efforts of Zubair SEC team who have supported, guided and counselled Muna in her progressing business journey. The centre has closely monitored and ensured the sound execution of development plans and marketing strategies for Kidani.”
He added, “The Zubair Corporation, through its strategy, has been playing an important role in building an ideal environment for entrepreneurs’ success and growth. One of our significant social responsibility initiatives Zubair SEC has always been in the forefront in assisting ambitious start-ups and entrepreneurs to grow assertively. Through Zubair SEC, its members have been having better access to knowledge, advisory, markets and business development opportunities”.
Thanking Zubair SEC for their sincere encouragement, Muna said, “Zubair SEC’s team have offered invaluable direction and guidance that has helped me in my challenging journey. They have played a key role in building several start-ups including mine. With their support, I feel confident to go ahead with new plans. I am happy to announce that we have experienced exciting growth over the last two years.”
Talking of the new collection, Muna said, “The new collection is inspired by “Mirwad” a thin cylindrical metallic stick used for putting kohl inside the eyes or as eye lining. The instrument has been associated with beauty, charm, and art across generations. This collection blends tradition with the trendy.”
Kidani’s vision is to be a harmonious merge between heritage and modernity. Muna has adopted quality and excellence as a main ingredient to achieve success. Today the “Kidani” brand stands out for the congenial amalgamation of Omani silver, gold and precious stones.
