Zubair SEC assists member launch renovated ‘One Step Gym & Beauty’ in Sohar

Date: October 28, 2019

Extending strategic direction and professional guidance, Zubair Small Enterprises Centre (Zubair SEC) has assisted its member Laila Nasser Mohammed Al Kharoosi to launch refurbished centre for “One Step Gym & Beauty” in Sohar.

The fitness and beauty centre was inaugurated by H. Maryam Issa Al Zadjali, member of Oman’s State Council and Chairperson of Dar Al Atta’a. The opening ceremony was attended by executive representatives of The Zubair Corporation and Zubair SEC.

Laila Nasser Mohammed Al Kharoosi, founder of One Step Gym & Beauty Centre, is a member of the Zubair SEC’s Direct Support Programme 2018.

One Step Gym & Beauty Centre, which is a one-stop solution for beauty and fitness needs, was opened in a new location with renewed interiors, contemporary branding and added facilities under the guidance and supervision of experts from Zubair SEC. It is a fitness centre for women and run by an Omani woman who is passionate about fitness and has very good knowledge and experience about keeping fit. This is a competitive advantage for Laila’s business, not merely in Sohar, as there aren’t many women fitness centres that are run by an Omani woman in the Sultanate in general.

Now a private retreat for health, fitness and well-being, One Step Gym & Beauty Centre has been completely redesigned in a trendy and lively manner in addition to aesthetics appeal. To complement her fitness facilities, Laila has plans to add beauty services in the same premises.

The value addition is expected to create great demand for One Step Gym & Beauty Centre among clients looking for both services under one roof. To make the facility more secure, the centre has introduced smart access cards for members. With much improved offerings, plans are on to target corporates along with individual clients. The centre endeavours to develop the facility further and turn it into an integrated centre for families, especially for mothers and special classes being planned for children.

H. Maryam Issa Al Zadjali said, “It brings a true sense of pride to see ambitious Omani ladies endeavouring and succeeding with their own businesses, and proving that with perseverance and hard work, they can have a distinguished fingerprint in the society.” She added, “the business that Laila has chosen is very much needed to raise a healthy lifestyle for women; I congratulate her for the launch of her new gym and beauty centre and I commend the good work of Zubair SEC of having the back of such young and ambitious small-business owners and helping them stabilize and grow with their business”.

Ali Shaker, Advisor, Business Development and Strategic Partnerships, Zubair SEC said, “One of the most unique attractive selling points of One Step Gym & Beauty Centre is that the owner Laila Al Kharoosi is a certified Omani trainer. This fact not only offers trust but also a very high level of comfort for women visiting the facility. The centre has been revitalised to offer a consummate choice of health, fitness with state-of-the-art gym,

Laila Al Kharoosi has shown remarkable enthusiasm and steadfastness towards the development of her business and has been open to advice and suggestions.”

Thanking Zubair SEC for their support, Laila Nasser Mohammed Al Kharoosi said, “I’m thankful to the Zubair SEC’s Direct Support Programme for taking my business to a completely new level. Their advisory and financial support including helping me with new branding to location change to interiors redecoration to managing the facility in a more professional manner, are highly appreciated and valued.”
