ZUBAIR EDC HIGHLIGHTS FIRST QUARTER ACHIEVEMENTS OF 2022

The Zubair Enterprises Development Centre (Zubair EDC) recently highlighted its achievements for the first quarter of the year.

The centre provided consultancy services for more than eight businesses, which included small and medium-sized enterprises and home-based businesses that have the potential to grow and be a part of several different sectors like e-commerce, manufacturing, craft industries, agricultural, education, food and others.

The consultations were aimed at identifying the challenges faced by these businesses and developing appropriate solutions to address them in the areas of restructuring, marketing, business plans and feasibility study. Zubair EDC, through such services, endeavours to establish local businesses and helps them play a major role in the growth of the economy of the Sultanate of Oman.

Nabiha Al Mandhari, Communication specialist at Zubair EDC said, “Our services aims to provide support and assistance to small and medium-sized enterprises so that they can succeed in their businesses, establish themselves in the market and achieve their goals. The centre provides business consulting services to SMEs on an ongoing basis. The efforts made by the centre’s advisors in terms of continuous communication and follow-up, contributes to the achievement of small enterprise goals in regards to future planning, identifying challenges and developing solutions for the same. We strive to achieve this and more in the near future.”

The advisory services provided by the centre are diverse and include helping small businesses develop their establishment plans, making sure they adhere to the regulations and legislations placed upon them, and creating their financial plans for up to 5 years, which reflects the performance of the business and in turn, helps achieve profitability, taking into account operating costs and expected marketing and sales plans.

Furthermore, the centre provides services such as the development of an organisation structure for the business, which includes defining the management structure. This is in addition to the manpower plan, which identifies and names the necessary personnel and allocates a budget for them, the investment plan, which determines the sources of funding and financial resources needed during the founding year, as well as the operational plan, which sets standards for everyday operations.
