With an aim to augment the participation of prospective small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the economic growth of the country, Zubair Small Enterprises Centre (Zubair SEC) has planned a ‘Tajribati’ session on ‘opportunities for SMEs in the logistics sector’. The ‘session will host a team from Oman Global Logistics Group (ASYAD) and will be held on December 9 from 3 pm to 5 pm at Bait Al Zubair. The session will offer SMEs an overview of the wide range of logistics opportunities available for SMEs looking to establish a business in the sector.
The session will provide a summary of ASYAD, Oman’s most comprehensive end-to-end logistics provider in the Middle East, covering ports, free zones and multimodal transportation. It will present the support ASYAD provides to aspiring entrepreneurs. The session will provide a brief on ‘Ibhar’, ASYAD’s incubator programme which helps aspiring entrepreneurs to explore business prospects in the logistics sector.
Topics such as Omanisation in the sector; In Country Value; competition mechanisms; and recommended competitive practices for entrepreneurs will also be deliberated upon.
Amina Al-Siyabi, Strategist – Human Capital, ASYAD Group; Ghadeer Al Alawi, Analyst – Human Capital, ASYAD Group; and Khalfan Al Khusaibi, In Country Value Lead, ASYAD Group will participate as speakers in the session.
The ‘Tajribati’ series serves as a unique platform to connect industry experts with start-up owners and entrepreneurs to exchange views, discuss common challenges and share best practices. The ‘Tajribati’ discussion series organised by Zubair SEC, a social responsibility initiative of The Zubair Corporation, is aimed at supporting young entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises.
The monthly Tajribati discussion sessions has been gaining very good momentum year on year. Members and non-members keenly await the session to share insight with their fellow entrepreneurs, discuss matters of concern, share knowledge and experience, and network in a friendly constructive atmosphere.
