INMA extends two new contracts to Zubair SEC members in support for Omani SMEs

Date: November 16, 2016

In line with its strategy to support the growth of Omani SMEs, INMA has recently signed new business contracts for two members of Zubair Small Enterprises Centre (Zubair SEC). INMA, one of The Zubair Group companies, is a leading real estate development, investment and asset management company. The company had earlier this year signed contracts with other Zubair SEC members as part of its culture and policy to promote business development with SMEs.

Facilitated by Zubair SEC, those contracts come as part of its on-going effort to facilitate business opportunities for its members and build business synergies between large companies and small enterprises in the Sultanate.

INMA signed a contract with Shumookh Engineering Consultancy (founded by Zubair SEC member Jokha Al Hussaini) for engineering consultancy services to one of INMA’s major projects. INMA also signed an agreement with Areej Al Hemli company (founded by Zubair SEC member Odai Khamis Al Dhahmani) for interior decoration services.

Elie Badaoui, Head of Design for INMA said, “Despite being young SME owners, Shumookh Engineering Consultancy, and Areej Al Hemli teams showed a lot of enthusiasm and dedication to the projects assigned to them. We at INMA are very happy to have them on board.”

Commenting about the contract, Adel Hubaishi, Senior Advisor at Zubair SEC said, “business development for our members has become a key endeavour not just for Zubair SEC team but also throughout the Zubair Group companies, all sharing a strong conviction of the importance of extending support to small enterprises in the Sultanate. INMA has been one of the most engaged and active companies in this regard, and have so far extended several work assignments and contracts to our members”.

He added, “our role as advisors at Zubair SEC is to nominate and commend the members we believe would deliver the right quality of work; as such, INMA has developed a practice of consulting with us for endorsed members to fulfil certain tasks & projects they have in their value chain”.

Both Zubair SEC members Jokha Al Hussaini and Odai Al Dhahmani expressed their gratitude to the centre and INMA.

Jokha Al Hussaini said, “Zubair SEC has been playing a key role in supporting growth and boosting capability of SMEs in Oman. We are also appreciative to INMA for their show of confidence and trust in our work”.

Odai Khamis Al Dhahmani said, “we pledged our best services to INMA. I want to emphasise that it is a great opportunity for us to work with a large real estate company such as INMA. All this has been possible with the support of Zubair SEC, and because of the embedded culture at INMA to support and enable the SME sector”.

Zubair SEC, a social responsibility initiative of The Zubair Corporation, has facilitated similar business development opportunities for many of its members in the past few years. It strongly believes that the support of large organisations to SMEs, mainly through business development and contract opportunities, is of the greatest importance to the development and success of the SME sector.
