Zubair SEC assists member’s company Al Broumi Honey to start new product packaging

Date: September 22, 2019

With helpful inputs from Zubair Small Enterprises Centre (Zubair SEC), its member Naser Saleh Al Broumi has launched new product packaging for his brand ‘Al Broumi Honey’.  Naser Saleh Al Broumi, founder of Al Broumi National Enterprises, which specialises in honey products, is a member of Zubair SEC’s Direct Support Programme for the year 2017.

In this context, Zubair SEC had sent Naser to China earlier this year to help him develop and understand new packaging concepts that would attract individual customers and corporates.  Over the years, one of the main challenges ‘Al Broumi Honey’ faced was to have a well-designed packaging that completely distinguishes its products from competition.

Following his visit to some of China’s major and largest suppliers, Naser used his new brand, – designed and launched earlier by Zubair SEC – to develop new packaging and bottles concepts. The newly designed packaging will be used in different forms and price ranges. It will be made available in gift boxes and offered in practical affordable bags.

Ali Shaker, Advisor, Business Development and Strategic Partnerships, Zubair SEC said, “We all know that packaging is not only important for calling the attention of a customer, but also plays a key role in strengthening a business’s branding. The move to get a new look for Al Broumi will help the brand to distinguish its products and stand out among competitors. Since it offers attractive packaging ranges, it is sure to attract large corporates as clients too. We are hopeful that the new packing will help strengthen Al Broumi Honey position in the market with its presented competitive look and feel, while offering high quality Omani honey.”

He added, “At a later stage, after we test the new packaging in the local market, we will support Naser to tap into the regional markets with Al Broumi Honey.”

Al Broumi Honey product range includes pure original Omani honey namely Al Sumur and Al Sidr. Naser operates his business from Izki in Al Dakhiliyah governorate.

Appreciating Zubair SEC’s support, Naser said, “I understand that packaging also plays an important role in the success of merchandising and selling. I am extremely grateful for Zubair’s support in this regard. The backing they have been rendered me is generous and magnanimous. Their inspiration and reassurance throughout my entrepreneurial journey have been inspirational and empowering.”

Understanding that branding is a significant ingredient to the success of a company, Zubair SEC had earlier launched new branding for Al Broumi Honey. Zubair SEC’s team worked on the branding for Al Broumi Honey’s business as well as for products packaging. The objective was to make the branding reflect originality and contemporary designs that would help sell the products to a larger market base, while emphasising the competitive advantage of the honey being Omani. The new marketing strategy helped tremendously in promoting Naser’s business and enabling him to penetrate new markets.

As part of its efforts to equip Naser with knowledge and exposure to latest trends and practices in his line of business, Zubair SEC earlier sent Naser to attend the 45th Apimondia International Apicultural Congress held in Istanbul, Turkey. The objective of the trip was to help Naser gain insights into the latest developments in the world of beekeeping and honey production. The aim of the celebrated Congress in Turkey was to collect, discuss and disseminate new information on bee sciences and technology around the world. Zubair SEC has helped its members with rebranding efforts in the past too. The Centre has been in the forefront in assisting ambitious small-business owners and entrepreneurs to grow assertively. Through Zubair SEC, its members have been having better access to knowledge, expertise, and understanding of the market.
