Bank Muscat, the Sultanate’s leading financial institution, represented by its Najahi Program, and the Al Zubair Small Enterprises Centre have concluded the Small Business Exhibition held recently at Nizwa Grand Mall in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. The opening ceremony on the first day was held under the patronage of H.E. Hamad bin Suleiman bin Hamad Al Gharibi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources, in the presence of entrepreneurs, owners of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), representatives of organizations supporting entrepreneurship, officials from Bank Muscat and the Zubair Corporation, and a large number of attendees from Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
The exhibition attracted significant public interest, with 30 small enterprises participating from among the members of the Al Zubair Small Enterprises Centre and Bank Muscat’s Najahi Unit. The exhibition aimed to introduce entrepreneurs and promote their business ventures. The event was organized as part of the ongoing collaboration between Bank Muscat’s Najahi Program and the Al Zubair Small Enterprises Centre, which began in 2016. The Centre is one of the Zubair Corporation’s social responsibility initiatives. Eastern Coast Establishment, one of the Centre’s members, was contracted to organize the exhibition, marking the second consecutive collaboration with the company.
On this occasion, Lina Al Hussein, Head of Communications and Community Impact at the Al Zubair Small Enterprises Centre, said: “We are pleased with the results achieved by the exhibition and the benefits gained by participants in terms of sales and promoting their products and services. We would also like to thank Bank Muscat for its continued support of entrepreneurs and SME owners.” She added that cooperation among leading private-sector institutions in supporting SMEs creates stronger opportunities for entrepreneurship development and generates broader positive outcomes. She explained that the collaboration between the Al Zubair Small Enterprises Centre and Bank Muscat in organizing the exhibition reflects their commitment to creating an enabling environment for the growth of small businesses.
Salem bin Khasif Al Yarubi, owner of the Shatha Al Oud project and a member of Bank Muscat’s Najahi Program, praised the role played by both Bank Muscat and the Al Zubair Small Enterprises Centre in supporting entrepreneurs and contributing to the growth and development of SMEs. He stated that participation in the exhibition was particularly beneficial at this time of year, as it attracted a large number of visitors, increasing awareness of their products across the governorate and boosting sales opportunities. He added that such exhibitions support entrepreneurs in achieving their business ambitions and promote the culture of self-employment among Omani youth across various sectors.
Zaima bint Saif Al Salamiyah, owner of the “Grandmother’s Blends” project and a member of the Al Zubair Small Enterprises Centre, expressed her happiness at participating in the exhibition, noting that it helped introduce her business and provided a platform to showcase and sell her products. She added that the exhibition enriched her entrepreneurial experience and thanked both Bank Muscat’s Najahi Program and the Al Zubair Small Enterprises Centre for supporting the event.

She added that it also contributes to strengthening the culture of entrepreneurship in the Sultanate. She expressed her satisfaction with participating in the exhibition, which helped increase product sales while also providing valuable experience through the development of marketing skills and customer engagement techniques.
It is worth noting that the Najahi Unit works to provide financing solutions for entrepreneurs and small businesses, addressing one of the most critical needs for this sector, particularly during the start-up phase. The program offers financial facilities without requiring collateral, responds to market needs, and helps overcome financing challenges faced by entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, the Al Zubair Small Enterprises Centre, one of the Zubair Corporation’s key social responsibility initiatives, offers a comprehensive range of support services, including business consultancy, business development, partnership facilitation, capacity building, and its annual direct support program, which includes financial grants and intensive advisory support for members.
